FAQs

We’ve rounded up the most common (and a few not-so-common!) questions about staying at Halfway House Touring.
If you can’t find the answer here, just give us a shout — we’re always happy to help.
When are you open?
We’re open seasonally, with our 2025 season starting in spring. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for opening dates and site updates.
What types of pitches do you have?
We have five spacious, fully serviced pitches — each with electric hook-up, fresh water, and waste connection. Perfect for caravans, campervans, and motorhomes.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes! Well-behaved dogs are very welcome — just keep them on leads and tidy up after them. There are loads of lovely countryside walks nearby.
Do you have showers and toilets?
We’re currently upgrading our facilities — our brand-new shower and toilet block will be ready for the 2026 season.
Can we have BBQs or firepits?
Yes, raised BBQs are welcome — just keep them off the grass and stay safe while cooking.
Is there Wi-Fi?
Not yet — but 4G coverage is strong across all networks. (Most guests say it’s nice to switch off for a bit!)
How far are you from Louth?
We’re just 5 minutes from Louth town centre — ideal for shops, takeaways, pubs, and a proper market-town wander.

The Fun Stuff
Can I be on Behind the Pitches?
If you’re around while we’re filming — quite possibly! Just smile, wave, and act natural (unless Ged’s behind the camera… then expect a laugh).
Is Ged always that busy?
Yes. He’s usually fixing something that wasn’t even broken in the first place.
Who comes up with all the ideas?
That would be Calum — though everyone else normally finds out after the idea’s already started happening.
Who keeps everyone organised?
Ashleigh & Julia, without a doubt — they the ones keeping the peace and making sure chaos turns into progress.
Who’s actually in charge?
Julia. Always Julia.
